When you are working as an LPN, you can continue studying to become an RN going to school part time. But there are also those who are content on being an LPN for good.
Being an RN, you will earn a salary which is bigger than the other two types of nurses, but you will also have the most responsibilities. In most hospital and medical institutions RNs are in charge of a team of LPNs. It is the responsibility of the RN to see to it that everything is organized and that all patients are given proper care. This career is a rewarding one although it can also be stressful. The pay and the benefits that an RN receives is well worthwhile for many.
